A fast reader will find the need to go back and clarify who is saying what. I did not find this to be true in the first two books of the series. The writing remains highly engaging, although I found no surprises in this book. All of Emmas friend, and even sister Laurel are suspects at one time or other in the death of Sutton.
And almost all of them are also eliminated as potential suspects. All factors leading to proof of guilt or innocence are only in the mind of Emma with a little help from discussions with Ethan, the only person who knows that he is talking with Emma. Which leads me to suspect Ethan, but there is no reason to suspect that in this book.
There are a few unresolved issues in this book, though. Something to keep in mind during the read. Then there is the continuing mystery of Thayer. Where has he been? Why wont he tell anyone where he has been? Why does Dr. Mercer hate Thayer so much?

I wasn't sure what to expect as I was a big fan of the television series, turns out there are some pretty big differences! I absolutely love the interesting dynamic developing with dead Suttons emotions towards her sister, character development for a ghost is unlike anything I've ever read before.
I really couldn't put the book down0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A little slower, but still good. By Ashley P. It introduces a new face, someone who Emma thinks may have been involved in Sutton's death. Some items that were lost are found, and things Emma didn't even know she was looking for are found as well. And my sister might be next. I did a lot of horrible things while I was alive, things that made people hate me, maybe even enough to kill me. Desperate to solve my murder, my long-lost twin, Emma, is pretending to be me and unraveling the many mysteries I left behind—my cryptic journal, my tangled love life, the dangerous Lying Game pranks I played.
Hide And Seek My friends and I used to play lying games. Now my twin sister is living one. When I was alive, my family seemed picture-perfect. My adoptive parents adored me, and my little sister, Laurel, copied my every move. Laurel is shooting Emma nasty looks and sneaking around with my ex-boyfriend. How far would they go to keep the truth buried?
No one can harm me now, but Emma is still fair game. But my twin sister has no choice. When I died two months ago, my killer told my twin sister to become me—or else. Now Emma has it down to a T. She tosses her hair with the signature Sutton Mercer flip and can lead a Lying Game prank with the best of them. Then our birth mother, the woman who abandoned us, showed up in Tucson. In this nail-biting finale to the best-selling series that started it all, it becomes harder than ever for Emma to hide her true identity.
The truth is bound to come out eventually. Find out what happens in Seven Minutes In Heaven.
Back when she was alive, Sutton kept a million secrets. But how she got together with Thayer is her juiciest one of all.
