May 13, Gunjan Gupta rated it really liked it. As a management student we are bombarded with the Western Theories and how economy works. This book breaks the stereotypes and helps us to embrace our Indianess. It discusses that how narrow minded we have been and how we have been ignoring the Uninc.

We Indians are too busy in discussing the organized sector and what policies can help them but we are completely unaware of this fact that the so called Organized Sector just contributes As a management student we are bombarded with the Western Theories and how economy works.

Book also discusses that it is not the Women who are foolish but the Government who is ignoring or are being ignorant to the fact that how important Gold is in the life of a Middle Class Woman.

It also highlights that caste system is not bad but has its own benefits and how people from same caste help to uplift each other. In the end I would like to say that this book was actually an eye opener and helped me in breaking the stereotypes. Indian Uninc is a well written book though sometimes it feels quite dense and heavy with statistics. The book goes into some detail how the government connives actively by having anbhorrent policies and passively by neglecting sectors unders distress to stymie the small entrepreneurs in the country. The author could also have done without a pontificational voice in the second half of the book.

The last section of chapters is a little rambling and repetitive. The book however does a good job of busting myths around the SMEs, proprietorships and partnerships with hard numbers.
