I would have liked more 3T parameter information for sequences, but for a MRI information and reference I don't think it can be beat. Very informative on leading someone from beginning basics all the way to tweaking most sequences.
Some of the information I thought was a little rushed and written too compact such that the reader is left studying the material more than necessary.
I thought the areas that are more technically advanced could have been given more time and thought, especially with the incredible combined knowledge of the authors, and would have made the book tremendously more effective.
Not the guide per say for informing on specific exam patient-slice positioning. One person found this helpful. First of all You know that phrase you had one job?
Well this book would apply. I just opened the book because school starts in a few days and of all chapters I have been assigned to read? Please see pictures. Due the non alignment, there is pages upon pages of chapter material missing because it is cut off.
Clearly I have to create my own paragraph ending. This book is suppose to be NEW and you are selling book rejects. If that is the case then this should have been at a reduced price. Kindle Edition Verified download.
A lot of info in one volume. The diagrams, descriptions and the companion website were very helpful in helping me to better understand how MRI works. This book covers everything you need to know about MRI from basic principles to pulse sequences to artifacts and advanced scanning.
I got the kindle version this time around and there are quite a few typos and grammatical errors, I had to check certain things against my earlier edition book to be sure of what I was reading. All in all it's a really good book to have, it helped me pass the MRI registry exam.
MRI physics is difficult. This book helps break it down and makes it easier to understand.
Has good examples, pictures, and explanation. This book is straight to the point and does a good job of not adding extra. As a first semester MRI student i read chapters in a month advance and the techs were really surprised how i understood the concept of TR, TE, k-space,voxel, ect.
I would youtube lectures after reading this to have a better understanding of it. A lot of helpful teachers that help clear this up as i am doing it online. One of the best physics book for MRI. Must read for radiology residents and fellows. All their companion books are good too with more illustrations. However this book is good enough. Good read.
Helped me pass my registrt. Way easier to read than Bushong pieces, found it very useful studying for the national boards. This book is pretty much mandatory if you want to register as a MR tech, all of the information is very useful, and is boiled down to a level more palatable for most people, well as much as MR can be anyways. I haven't talked to a tech who hasn't used this book to help them on their Registry those who passed recently anyways.
